You can phrase your question anyway you like, but some ways are more helpful than others. Those ways that empower you with information and choice are particularly helpful.
A couple of ways of asking you may wish to avoid are:
Yes/no questions – a yes/no answer will give you little information about your situation but if you ask your question slightly differently, a lot more information will be forthcoming. If you still decide that a yes/no answer is all that you want, then my one card reading fits the bill.
For example, rather than ask ‘Will my new business be successful’, you could ask ‘What do I need to know to make my new business successful’. This will tell you about all the energies working around your business and gives you tools and advice to use. You are empowered to improve your situation rather than being a passive observer with a yes/no answer.
‘Should I …..’ type questions hand responsibility for your decisions to the tarot. You alone are responsible for your own life and any decisions that you make.
So, you could rephrase, ‘Should I take this job offer’ to ‘What would be the impact of my taking this job offer’ You keep responsibility for your actions, the cards supply you with information to help you make your decisions.
You can see that a good question will elicit information that will empower you and help you to make the best decisions for yourself and the situation.
They focus on what you can change or influence in positive ways.
An open ended question will open up space for different possibilities and options to be explored.
Avoid being too general, a question that is detailed and specific will bring focus and direction to your reading.
For example. How can I best prepare for my interview with ................ on Tuesday? rather than What should I do to get the best job? First one is specific, the second more general.
Ask questions that focus on you rather than others. This will foster a feeling of creating your own destiny through your own choices and responsibility.
Some helpful ways to start your question may be;
· What is the potential for….
· What do I need to know about….
· What role do I play in….
· What can I do to improve….
· How can I improve….
These are just a few ideas.
You can ask about timeframes in a reading and up to six months into the future works well. Beyond that, so much has the potential to alter and the energies in motion at the time of the reading can always be changed by you, others or random events. The reading will only look at the most likely future based on where you are now in relation to the situation that you are enquiring about.
When you ask your question, if you wish to include some background information please do as this can help me understand the cards in context as I progress with the reading. It’s not necessary as I‘ll always present the messages from the cards but it can help me present your reading to you in the most relevant way to your situation.
